Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is a short drive from some of the best beaches on the Costa Calida, notably San Javier, & San Pedro providing very safe swimming and family fun. Try the therapeutic mud baths of the Salinas De San Pedro before bathing in the child friendly safe warm waters of the Mar Menor.

The Mar Menor lagoon has a average water temperature 5°C warmer than the mediterranean sea.

Murcia offers over 250 km of Mediterranean coastline where you will discover an exceptional climate : with an average temperature of 21°C perfect for golf. The golf course is set around the restored Hacienda (country house). A fantastic 18 hole par 72. The wide fairways & hard to approach greens are protected by lakes & bunkers ready to complicate your shot. All in all a fun & challenging course.

Santiago de la Ribera - lovely beach & a ferry to the La Manga strip round trip 8 euros.

San Pedro del Pinatar – local market every Monday morning with bargains to be had and the freshest fruit and vegetables you will ever come across.

Murcia airport and the Mar Menor is approx 20 minutes away and Alicante airport is 60 minutes. With many low cost airlines servicing both airports.

Sucina is 5 minutes away and is the nearest neighbour to Hacienda Riquelme. It is a warm and friendly village with a protected bird sanctuary to one side. The village has every shop you could need from a wonderful bakery/café to an ironmongers. There are two supermarkets, one specialising in British food, the other with wonderful Spanish food.

There is a hairdressers, chemist, tabac and post office within walking distance of each other. If its food and drink you’re after then pop along to Frank and Louise’s bar in the evening for good company or football on the huge TV screens. The Bodega down from the square serves tapas or main meals and has the best cooked breakfast in the area. There are other bars and restaurants for you to find and several banks near the beautiful church in the square.
